Five down, and only one to go!

Oh, over the past weekend, Caroline wore the last of her diapers. So, thank you to Aunty and Uncle for changing the last of them. I haven't changed a Caroline diaper since Friday of last week. On Monday morning, Cliff put on a size six (with two left in the bag), and Caroline told us she wanted to wear underwear. So, off went the diaper. She went to her drawer, and helped herself!

In one day Caroline fully toilet trained! Number five is done, and now just waiting on my 18th month old Coco. I am thinking trying to get it done BEFORE two. I sat Courtney on the toilet today, and she liked it. She wanted toilet paper LOL. She knows...so I am going to start talking to her about this.

So far, I have spent the last almost 10 years (minus a few months changing diapers) I changed my first diaper on August 3rd, 1999. Maybe by August 2009 we could be done? *fingers crossed*

Happy Days!! High fives Caroline!

We are going to enjoy a cheaper grocery bill this next shop! And trade a full size six bag for a size four.

done? trained?!

I *think* Catie might be officially trained!

She hasn't worn a diaper since two nights ago. She took the diaper off, put on undies. And since then has done all poops and pees on the toilet. No special seats or anything! Just high fives and calls to Daddy at work! I am so happy.

That means we could just have the one in diapers until baby is here. Then back to two in diapers! This will be our first child to train before their 3rd bday! Yay Catie! You are a big girl now!

An accident, and a success...

How is the potty training going? Well, yesterday Catie had a minor pee accident in her bed. Easily solved with a a bit of laundry, and a reminder of where pee goes. She has spent more time in undies, than a diaper the past while.

So, today after our first day of school. Catie says from the washroom "I went poo poo!!!" and I said "Where did you go poo poo?" and Catie says "In the toilet!" so I make my way to the washroom and low and behold a big log in the toilet, and she hops off with her bum in the air for me to wipe her! I happy clapped, and was so EXCITED!! It was like we won the lottery! And, then...we called Daddy on the phone so she could share her good news!!

It could be possible that she is trained by her third birthday this weekend! *containing excitement!!*

Yay Catie!!! We are so proud of you!!

two words

Poo Poo.

Normally I do not get excited about poop. Especially if it is ingested, or played with or what have you. But, when poop goes plop into the toilet. We get really happy! That is what happened to us today!

Catie did a poo poo into the toilet today! She said "I have to go poo poo." So we rushed her to the toilet! And, yup. She did it! All by herself. We all took turns looking in the toilet and high fives and clapping for her. She was so excited with all of that special attention too!

It has been a good day. Now, will this continue? I don't know. But I know she felt mighty proud of herself. We are proud of her! She in the first child to poop on the real toilet (without a special potty or toilet seat cover) and start before the age of three! I hope by her third birthday we will be done!! Oh that would be great! I was having visions of three in diapers and was getting scared. I won't try to get too excited. *containing excitement*

It doesn't get any easier!

One would think, that after potty training 3 kids, that the 4th would be easier. But, as I have discovered. I think potty training is frustrating. Catie, is our 4th to go through it, and it is not going very well. She does pee on the toilet now, but poops nope. NO WAY! Only in her pants. Not very fun. But hey. We are trying. We do not get frustrated, we talk about the poop that goes plop in the toilet. We play it up, about being a big girl. But to no avail, it is not working YET.

She is still two, and turning three on the 9th of September. So, I know there is hope. We even pulled her out of preschool as they need to be toilet trained. So, I will re-register her for next September when she will be 4 years old. No pressure.

Well, so far we had the 4.5 down, and 2 more to go. Not bad, not bad. I swear Caroline at 15 months will be trained faster than all of the kids. She says poo poo, and belly and tells us when she has poop in her diaper! And, she sits on the little plastic potty too! So, here is to hoping. This baby inside...well, only time will tell.

When did the other kids train? I cannot remember as I think I blocked all of this out lol. Cameron was around 3 or 3 1/2, Claire was around 3. As was Carly.

All I can say, is thank you for Folex carpet cleaner, and patience!

It's my potty!!

For the past few months we have been talking about picking out a new potty. And, talking about where the pee pee and poop goes. And, recently Catie has been removing her diaper and taking underwear out of her sister's drawer. She is ready!
So flash foward to a trip to the local Wal*Mart. We pick out a potty and brand new panties just for Catie. And of course we bought the biggest box of size 5 diapers we could buy!! hmmm.
Cliff and I whip down to the video store, and what did Catie do? She went pee ALL by herself! They saved her first pee, and I had the honours of taking the pot to the toilet, and we said good bye pee pee and Catie flushed the toilet! Then we high fived and cheered for her! It was a family affair!
And then she did it again! Thus the thumbs up.
Tonight Catie sat on her potty before bed, and nothing. She did NOT want a diaper on before bed, so a towel and mat went into her bed. And tomorrow we will sit her on there as soon as she gets up!
She was SO excited, and I think the photos speak for themselves. Today, Catie is 30 months old or 2.5 years old!
Yay Catie!!
We are now at 4/5 kids trained! How exciting! Only one child in diapers!!
