Big Girl Bed!!

Here is the old bed!

Here is the old/new to Catie bed! We got bed rails finally that fit, we got some plywood for the base and a new mattress! We talked about it alot!

Here is our sleeping beauty in her new big girl bed! We are so proud of how she fell asleep tonight! Nothing like her two big sisters! She only had to be put back in twice! Good job Catie! Sweet Dreams! And, many more big sleeps for you!! (fyi Catie just started jumping out of her crib in the last 2 days!! She will be 3 on September 9th, and this is the LONGEST any of our kids have slept in a crib!!!)

I know, she got out of the crib on Friday, there she was kneeling by Caroline's crib, waking her up! Way to go Catie girl, note the foot on wall for security! She looks too small for it right now doesn't she? The way you set her bed up, that is, as in the plywood base, we did the same for you girls. xxoo

Little kids always look lost in their big girl beds. They curl up in one corner.

I know, they always look so small in a twin size bed!!

You know Cathy - it's funny because i plan on keeping Marcus in his crib as long as he will stay in it. I am just not one for rushing them into the big beds... hello... they can escape so quickly from those!!

Beautiful bed though....and a beautiful princess sleeping soundly!

We used to have a cat who was not allowed into the living room. Even tho' there was no gate keeping her out of the living room, she would sit right at the edge of the doorway and look in but never enter.

I think that's what happens with little kids in their beds. After awhile they think they can't escape so they stop trying.

No? Okay never mind.

Yes, we are really pleased with her bed, and it makes her feel just like her big sisters in their beds! Now we need to work on finding one more, and maybe one more after that. Just depends who is in my uterus kicking about lol! I even have bedding for Caroline already! It is waiting for her...but not for several years I hope. All I know is that nap time for Catie is now over.

Now, to get through potty training with Catie...that is a whole other blog entry!

Cath ~ don't forget that cousin Riki has a white antique bed QUITE similar to the ones you already have. You know she's "storing" it at my place (such a masculine bed for FIL Jack to sleep in - lol). If you ask her nicely... :-)
It's just a thought. Keep it in the back of your mind!
Love you. xo Andrea

My oldest son EJ managed to crawl out of his bed at 11 months, unlock the front door, and was almost out through the gate with the Old English Bull Dog in tow, when I found him. Come to think of it, I haven't slept very well since...he's 29.

So, tell the truth, how many times did you scream for real?

Beautiful little girl.

Pottie training. I think they should have like a boot camp for that or something. I honestly thought I would lose my mind. Everything went in the toilet but the poop. It went behind the mailbox. lolol...

just me: Scream when?? When I had the bad day???

Carol: Thanks! Well, let's just say I cancelled preschool for Catie. That good my friend. I will put her in next Sept...how is the dual potty training going?

How many times have you screamed after you became a mom? I lost count at 923,456.2
