It doesn't get any easier!

One would think, that after potty training 3 kids, that the 4th would be easier. But, as I have discovered. I think potty training is frustrating. Catie, is our 4th to go through it, and it is not going very well. She does pee on the toilet now, but poops nope. NO WAY! Only in her pants. Not very fun. But hey. We are trying. We do not get frustrated, we talk about the poop that goes plop in the toilet. We play it up, about being a big girl. But to no avail, it is not working YET.

She is still two, and turning three on the 9th of September. So, I know there is hope. We even pulled her out of preschool as they need to be toilet trained. So, I will re-register her for next September when she will be 4 years old. No pressure.

Well, so far we had the 4.5 down, and 2 more to go. Not bad, not bad. I swear Caroline at 15 months will be trained faster than all of the kids. She says poo poo, and belly and tells us when she has poop in her diaper! And, she sits on the little plastic potty too! So, here is to hoping. This baby inside...well, only time will tell.

When did the other kids train? I cannot remember as I think I blocked all of this out lol. Cameron was around 3 or 3 1/2, Claire was around 3. As was Carly.

All I can say, is thank you for Folex carpet cleaner, and patience!

Cathy, I just wrote this in Carol's blog so I copied and pasted it here.

I hate to brag but I followed the Potty Training in One Day method. Dr Phil likes to claim this as his own method but he did not come up with this although he does endorse it.

It only took half a day. I had not even suggested it before that special day. After that not one diaper day or night, or one accident. It really worked and I'm not exaggerating. I had no choice as I was working.

You didnt have to pull her. They are pretty flexible. There will be two little girls entering preschool in September that are far from "trained"

I'm in the same state with Nicholas. He'll be 3 on September 7th and no where NEAR trained.

If I could send him to playschool naked he'd be fine but NOOOO, they insist on the kids wearing clothes! LOL If he's naked, he doesn't have accidents but if he's wearing a Pull-up or a diaper, he pees THEN tells me needs to use the toilet. I've suggested just wearing underware but he doesn't like that idea. I may just have to stuff him into a pair and tell him tough luck.

I'm pulling him out of playschool too. He's just not trained yet and I can't see that changing in the next 2 weeks.

Sometimes the little buggers don't like to give up the handwarmers. I remember my oldest buy squatting on his haunches in the middle of the mall on Halloween just before his third birthday. There wa my boy, dressed like a bunny...

Me: "Are you pooping?"
Him: *grunt* "No, Mama." ~insert pink bulging eyes here~

in times of great frustration, always remember this: they won't be going to college in diapers.

I agree...potty training is NO fun! I have 6 trained and need to work on Katie the 7th. She just turned two but is bringing me a clean diaper when she has done #2....soooo come September (when the older kids are back in school) I guess I'll have to give it a whirl. Some of the kids were easier then others. Night time for 3 of them came a bit later...but the good news everybody gets potty trained eventually! (-: Even if it doesn't seem so at the time! Goodluck.

Cathy,

Brooke was EXACTLY the same way!! It was a power issue with her. The more I suggested it, the more she held her ground. What actually helped was putting her into the preschool program. She held in both pee and poop for a while at school, and only went in her pull up. One day the teacher saw she had to go and gently forced her to sit on the potty till she went. It took her a few months, but she finally pooped in the potty at school, then it was not a problem.

Now Taylor is the opposite, she will poop on the potty, but will dribble or pee in her pants ALL day!! I am ready to hear the one day plan from babyz!!

hugs,
Dawn

Ha! I can't stand potty training.
lara was great...Erin soooooo stubborn. She kept hiding and pooping in her undies...than two months before peyton was born she turned to me and said...mom I'm giving my diapers to Peyton. and that was it!!! so weird.

The runners were Asics Kayanos. they were for my hubby.

READ, HEED, and do the DEED or don't come crying to me. The End.
