Crib Jumper

Catie is our first kid (that we can remember lol) That has figured out how to jump over the rails and out of her crib. This was at nap time. We now figure we will have to switch Catie to a big girl bed like her sister's Claire and Carly. I am sad that I may never have Catie nap again. Usually she naps for 2 hours every afternoon.

Our Catie is growing up!

Oh No-reminds me of another little rail jumper, who would that be. . . her mommy! Buy a youth bed with rails and start talking to her about it TODAY! Hopefully she won't be like Aunty April who moved into a youth bed only to have us resurrect the crib as she wouldn't sleep in it. She just wasn't ready for it. Finally after about 6 months we tried again and it took. So mabe just leave the rail down for now. Sorry about her naps though, she needs them and so do you! xxxooo

Booo!! I remember Alyse was in LOVE with her crib. One day I just took it down and put her into her big-girl bed. She actually did really well in it... but then again there is no way she would hop over the rails. We have yet to have that happen... I am scared for that day. I have a feeling Marcus might do that!!

Uh-oh... I feel for you. I think our time is fast approaching too. Matty's been fighting sleep (and naps) so much lately and I asked Kirb to lower the mattress one last time as he's definately determined to hoist himself up and over! At daycare he naps on a little cot so I am hoping that when the time comes to transition it won't be THAT much of a hassle and headache. Lord knows we've had enough of that already trying to raise this extremely active child (from womb on!) LOL. And people question WHY we're hestitating about having a second??? :-)
Love, Andrea xo

When Brooke moved to a toddler bed at 27 months, we told her that she was not allowed to get out of the bed until a parent came to get her. I never thought it would work, but for 6 months she would stay in that bed until I came in her room to get her. It was too cute, over the monitor we would here, "I had a nice nap, please get down?" Too funny. Good luck!
