more eats

Caroline tried sweet potato today for the first time! She loved it! She opens up her mouth so wide to receive the goods on the baby spoon! I don' t remember ANY of the other kids doing that! Maybe I just forgot! So, sweet potato...check!

Next we try squash, then carrots! (thanks Cynthia ;D)

I realized today that I do require more bibs! They are wearing out! Maybe a good Christmas gift for Caroline!!

Yay Caroline!! So glad the foods are going well with her. Funny how they are so open to a change of taste in the beginning, eh!? The only food Ben hated (and I mean HATED!) was green beans. Blech. We didn't mind either as we don't like them!

Oh, and you are more than welcome! Glad they are getting used up.

Marcus will NOT have solids of any sort. He likes his mesh feeder but wants nothing to do with eating. He likes it in his mouth, on his tongue and then blown all over me. Mmmmmm....

Go Caroline Go!

Hi Cathy.
I am glad to hear that Caroline is starting to eat solids. Sweet potato is also Mattias' absolute favorite. As you know he doesn't eat much fluid and is fed through a G-tube, and it took us months to get him to start eating solids. He still can only take the very fine pure, and it was a nurse who tiped us about the sweet potato after following doctors order and trying applesauce and banana first. Now he takes almost anything in small portions.

I hope that you can come and visit us in Steveston this pring. I've never lived in the suburbs, so that's a new experience for me. I just talked to Carly the other day too. They've also moved to Richmond. Maybe we can have a get together when we're settled in in our new house.

Take care and say hi to the kids from me. I have a picture of them on my wall so I see them every day :o)
